Some breeds are genetically predisposed to Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD). If your dog is one of these, daily spinal support isn't optional.
Their elongated spine and short ribcage put constant pressure on intervertebral discs. Up to 25% of Dachshunds experience disc problems in their lifetime.
Compact build with a shortened spine means disc compression starts early. Frenchies are one of the most commonly affected breeds for spinal issues.
Long body, heavy frame, and short legs create chronic spinal strain. Their weight distribution makes disc support especially important.
Despite their active nature, Corgis' long backs and short legs put them at significant risk for disc herniation, especially as they age.
Daily support built for at-risk breeds
IVDD doesn't announce itself with a yelp. These are the early changes owners of at-risk breeds notice first, often months before a vet visit.
Start daily support before symptoms get worse
Small, medium, or large. Each packet is formulated with the right dose for your dog's weight.
One chicken-flavored packet per day, right on top of their regular meal. No measuring, no mess.
Glucosamine and collagen get to work cushioning discs and supporting nerves. Most dogs show improvement within 60 days.
Glucosamine HCL and Chicken Collagen help maintain the soft tissue between vertebrae, reducing the daily compression that leads to disc damage and pain.
B-vitamins (Thiamine, B6, B12) and L-Arginine support healthy nerve function and spinal stability, helping your dog maintain coordination and mobility.
Boswellia Serrata and Turmeric provide natural anti-inflammatory support, easing the chronic strain on your dog's spine without harsh medications.
Vitamin D3, Vitamin E, and Zinc support bone density and connective tissue integrity over time, crucial for dogs already dealing with disc vulnerability.
Results build over time. Most dogs show noticeable improvement within 60 days of daily use.
Your dog gets used to the daily routine. Ingredients begin absorbing and building in the system. No visible changes yet, and that's normal.
Anti-inflammatory ingredients start easing daily strain. You may notice your dog seems slightly more comfortable during movement or rest.
Glucosamine and collagen are actively supporting disc cushioning. Many pet parents report less stiffness and more willingness to move.
With consistent daily use, your dog's mobility and comfort should be noticeably improved. This is the foundation for long-term spine health.

When our founder, Kyla Sternlieb's, rescue dog was diagnosed with disc issues, she couldn't find a supplement that addressed spinal health specifically. Everything on the market was generic joint support.
So she worked with veterinarians to create one. Under the Weather Pet was formulated in Williston, Vermont, with a simple mission: give pet parents real solutions for real problems, backed by veterinary science.
Today, we've helped over 250,000 pets, and our Disc & Spine formula remains the only supplement designed specifically for dogs at risk of disc damage.
Built by a pet parent, backed by veterinarians
Most pet parents notice improvement within 60 days of daily use. Anti-inflammatory ingredients like Boswellia and Turmeric may provide some comfort earlier, but the structural benefits from Glucosamine and Collagen take time to build. Consistency is key. One packet per day, every day.
Yes. This formula was developed with veterinarians specifically for daily long-term use. All 11 ingredients are well-studied and safe at the doses provided. There are no stimulants, no sedatives, and no ingredients that build up to harmful levels over time.
The powder is chicken-flavored and designed to mix easily into your dog's regular food. Most dogs eat it without noticing. If your dog is especially picky, try mixing the powder into a small amount of wet food or a spoonful of peanut butter first.
This supplement is designed to work alongside veterinary care, not replace it. If your dog is on prescribed medication for IVDD or another spinal condition, consult your vet before making any changes. Many customers use this supplement in addition to their vet's treatment plan.
The benefits of daily supplementation fade over time once you stop. Your dog's discs and nerves go back to facing daily strain without support. For breeds at risk of IVDD, consistent daily use is how you maintain the protective benefits. That's why a subscription makes sense: your dog never misses a day.
Most joint supplements focus on hips and knees. This formula targets the spine specifically: disc cushioning (Glucosamine + Collagen), nerve protection (B-vitamins + L-Arginine), and spinal inflammation (Boswellia + Turmeric). It was developed for breeds prone to Intervertebral Disc Disease, not as a generic mobility supplement.
Yes. The Disc & Spine Support Powder targets spinal discs and nerves, while the Hip & Joint Chews focus on joint cartilage and mobility. Together they provide comprehensive mobility support. Many pet parents use both for dogs with multiple mobility concerns.
You can pause, skip, or cancel your subscription anytime from your account page. No commitments, no fees, no hoops to jump through. If you need help, our team in Vermont is available by email and usually responds within one business day.

"After just one week on this product, the improvement in my dog has been incredible. He's more active, running and exploring the neighbors' yards again, which he hadn't done in quite some time. He enjoys the chews, and he's eating better too. I couldn't be happier with the results and would definitely say it's worth the investment."
"some improvement but we just started, my dog has been down awhile unable walk."
"On time, well packed…has always been beneficial for Penny!"
"So far so good. We give both Are Frenchys a chew each day and they love them. One if ours has spinal chairs issues so we out trying these chews in hopes it will strengthen her back"
"So far, my pup likes them. The wait time for delivery was reasonable."
"She doesn’t have many teeth, but if I break these up, my dog can eat these just fine and she likes them."
"Seems to be working. My dog is walking much better. Would recommend."
"since my Jack Russell mix had surgery a year and four months ago, we have always been skeptical if anything would help. So far while on her disc and spine supplement, she continues to do well. ."
"My dog has IVDD and he has been on the spinal chews now for several months. I am very pleased. I have also cut out stairs and jumping off furniture to reduce chances of reinjury. These chews have ingredients or one in particular that targets the spine or nervous system which is great. I would also encourage people to add another supplement that supports overall joint heath as well. The two together will give your dog the best chance at living a good full active life. My vet also recommended a high dosage of fish oil. My dog is on all three. Under the Weather Spinal chews, Cosequin and Nordic Omega 3. He said use the dosage for large dogs because many of these supplements don’t have enough of these important ingredients to make a difference with your dog. I wanted to share this information when I got it. It was helpful to me."
"My French bulldog started walking in three weeks. He’s usually in a wheelchair full-time"
